In our family we eat five time a day and there are four persons in our family: dad, mom, Roope and I. Usually mom makes the dinner, but sometimes dad also makes food, grilling is his speciality.
Well, at first my mom goes to the kitchen and finds a kettle from a cup board and starts to cook spaghetti. It is my favourite food. Then mom puts some water to the water kettle. At the same time she puts the spaghetti to the kettle and when the water is boiling. Soon she pours the water away and the spaghetti is ready. Then mom shouts everybody to eat and dad stops playing and the whole family eats the dinner. If any spaghetti is left, I always eat it all. Then everyone puts his or her dishes to the dish washer and mom puts the kettles and such. Then we are ready with the dinner and our stomach is satisfied.

We behave well at our home meals and we can also talk and chat. We eat at three or five. My mom makes the meal. Sometimes when mom is working my big brother makes the meal. Our favourite food is ‘pyttipannu’ (fried potatoes and bacon).
Santeri
We usually eat all together at home. During the holidays we is in restaurants. At home my favourite food is’ horse stakes’. I also like snails.
We buy the food from S-market. My dad usually makes the food. In summer we eat a lot new potatoes. We don’t eat too ‘hot’ meals. Mild are better, we think. In the summer mom and dad make food, dad is grilling and mom cooks the potatoes. The dish washer washes the dishes. Me and my sister drink milk.

Our school meal
We have school lunch every day once. It is earliest at 10-30. Sometimes it is quite strange to have a lunch at 10.30. Feels like you have just eaten the breakfast. Sometimes I like the school meals, sometimes I don’t. I don’t know where they order the food.
Sometimes I have extra food with me, if we have a long school day. Usually I take jam or an apple and perhaps a juice or a energy bar. At school meals I like to sit next to Peppi, my friend. My favourite food is sausage cooked in oven and mashed potatoes and milk as a drink.
Tuulia
School lunch is sometimes in the middle of the day, sometimes earlier, usually a quarter to something. We have 15 minutes time for eating. We start the lunch by washing our hands. Then we queue up. We have two water tabs in our class room, so the washing up is faster and we get to the meal sooner.
There are 2 tables for taking the food and more tables to sit at. At first we take the napkin, then the plate and cutlery. Then we take the salad, dressing and the main dish. Then we take the drinks from the automat.

We go to the school lunch, take the plates and cutlery and food and drink. Then we go and sit at the tables. There we can talk with each other and we can also take some more food if we want. The tables are big enough for many pupils. Teachers usually sit with their class. We have 15 minutes for eating. There are about 12 tables in the lunch room. The room is big and full of light. In the kitchen there are usually three cooking ladies. Once there was only very little fish in the fish soup and the hard bread was soft. After the meal a couple of pupils clean the tables and we go out for a break.
